We've all seen them. They're common in house flips or new builds, where contractors just need a flush mount light and grab the most affordable option. But just because they're ubiquitous does not mean they are acceptable!
Nothing screams "I don't care about aesthetics!" more than a boob light. Luckily, if you are cursed with one (or more) of these eyesores, there are many affordable and easy-to-find alternatives on the market. Here are a few of my favorites.

I have this friendly fixture in my own entryway. It's available in two metal and 16 color enamel/metal combinations (the enamel version is $115).

Don't discount Ikea for great lighting. They offer options from Boho to MidCentury. If you want something a bit more formal, this brass and glass fixture also creates shadows for extra drama.
